David Ortiz threw the 1st pitch and talked to the crowd at Fenway Park, in his first public appearance since he was shot in the Dominican Republic. Is legend in Boston because of Red Sox, so this was the perfect place for him to make his first appearance. As you can see in the Red Sox tweet it was a grand affair.

David Ortiz was shot in the Dominican Republic back in June. He was shot by an attempted robbery while eating out at a cafe. The robber was quickly apprehended but left Ortiz in serious condition. Ortiz underwent emergency surgery to save his life, and that they did. Since June, Ortiz hadn’t been seen in public, with updates about his health only coming from various news outlets. It was great to see him Walking and seemingly healthy again.
