A witness, who was also a customer at the restaurant, was able to get a good look at the Dodge Charger they drove away in and noted its tag number. The witness also recorded the attack on their phone and shared it with the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office also secured video evidence from the store’s surveillance cameras. With the assistance of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, the suspects were identified as Jamel Bernard Williams, 36, and Kayla Nicole Pyle, 34.
