The NBA 2K24 game has been out for hours now if you took a trip to New Zealand, and based on our experience so far, we have had enough time to experiment with different builds, and also watch how others players are coping with the gameplay changes. With that information in the mind, we compiled a list of base ratings for what we feel are the top 5 most dominant builds for No Squads Rec in NBA 2K24 so far. Keep in mind this list isn’t in any particular order.

1. Glass-Cleaning Lockdown Center

This build is a dominant force in the paint with exceptional rebounding, shot-blocking, and defensive abilities. Its presence can disrupt opponents’ offensive game, making it an essential choice for those who love playing defense and controlling the key. The base ratings for this build are as follows:

  • Height: 7’0″
  • Weight: 290 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’7″
  • Interior Defense: 99
  • Perimeter Defense: 70
  • Rebounding: 99
  • Block: 99
  • Steal: 70

2. Two-Way Finisher Small Forward

This build is perfect for those who want to dominate both ends of the court. It has great finishing abilities at the rim and can also play lockdown defense on the perimeter. The ratings for this build are as follows:

  • Height: 6’8″
  • Weight: 220 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’1″
  • Driving Layup: 90
  • Driving Dunk: 90
  • Standing Dunk: 80
  • Interior Defense: 80
  • Perimeter Defense: 80

3. Offensive Threat Point Guard

This build is perfect for those who want to dominate on the offensive end of the court. It has great shooting abilities from beyond the arc, and can also finish at the rim with ease using finesse. This is the build I had the most fun with so far. Not flashy, but is very consistent. The base ratings for this build are as follows:

  • Height: 6’3″
  • Weight: 195 lbs
  • Wingspan: 6’8″
  • Driving Layup: 92
  • Driving Dunk: 68
  • Standing Dunk: 50
  • Mid-Range Shot: 90
  • Three-Point Shot: 90

4. Paint Beast Center

This build is perfect for those who want to dominate in the paint. It has great finishing abilities at the rim, and can also play lockdown defense in the paint. Similar to 2K23, in NBA 2K24 seems that smaller centers still have an easy time scoring over taller centers who have average defensive ratings.

In the same breath it seems like taller centers have trouble scoring over small center with high defensive rating. Wit this build you can exploit the defensive, when there is a mismatch. The base ratings for this build are as follows:

  • Height: 6’11″
  • Weight: 280 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’5″
  • Interior Defense: 95
  • Rebounding: 95
  • Block: 95
  • Standing Dunk:90
  • Close-Shot: 90
  • Driving Dunk: 60
  • Driving-Layup: 90

5. Perimeter Lockdown Shooting Guard

This build is perfect for those who want to dominate on the defensive end of the court. It has great perimeter defense and can also shoot from beyond the arc with ease. The base ratings for this build are as follows:

  • Height: 6’5″
  • Weight: 210 lbs
  • Wingspan: 6’11″
  • Interior Defense: 65
  • Perimeter Defense: 99
  • Driving Layup: 90
  • Driving Dunk: 68
  • Standing Dunk: 50
  • Mid-Range Shot: 87
  • Three-Point Shot: 93

These are the base ratings for what we think are top 5 most dominant builds in NBA 2K24 solo rec so far. Whether you’re looking to dominate on the offensive or defensive end of the court, there’s a build on this list for you.

Based on the gameplay so far, these builds have proven to be effective in NBA 2K24 in no squads rec, but a patch could change everything, so this list is always fluid.
