In addition there is an alleged video floating around of the two. Now people on social media are calling Josh Giddey a pedophile, although nothing is 100% proven yet.

It should be noted that her age has not been confirmed yet.
In Oklahoma the age of consent is also 16 years old, but there’s catch that makes if much different. Although the legal age of consent is 16 years old, there has to be an age difference no more than 2 years between the 16 year old, and the other partner. Josh Giddey is currently 5 years older than someone who is 16 years old.
If the girl allegedly named Livv Cook is 15 years old, then that would make their relationship illegal. If she is really 16 years old, then their relationship could still be considered illegal by the law.
As aforementioned her age has not been confirmed yet, so it’s possible the girl is not even underage, but only time will tell as the investigation continues.

In the same breath, if they go the second route there’s no doubt they will receive criticism as some people on social media will possibly claim they are allowing an alleged pedophile to play basketball, the same way they criticize the NBA for allowing Miles Bridges to play.
If going by virtues of fairness from a business standpoint, the NBA will most likely conduct an investigation before making any type of decision.
