Marvin Williams and James Ennis got ejected after fighting, but the referees didn’t know who James Ennis was. The camera caught the referee trying to figure out who James Ennis is, before ejecting both players.
James Ennis got disrespected by the referees and Marvin Williams all at the same time.
To be fair James Ennis isn’t a household name. He is the epitome of a journeyman who is on a different NBA team every season it seems like. However, referees should be aware of who every player on the court is.
Sadly it took Marvin Williams fighting James Ennis for the referee to finally realize who James Ennis was. Luckily they didn’t eject the wrong player.
