The Helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant has given life to new law in California that will help future families. When LA Police took unauthorized graphic photos of Kobe Bryant’s dead body and shared it with their friends, it sent the world into a fit rage.
Vanessa Bryant sued the LA police department over the incident, and is still in a legal battle against them.
Now something like that will probably never happen again, because Governor Gavin Newsom approved a new legislation that makes it illegal for first responders to take unauthorized photos of bodies at an accident or crime scene.

The new Kobe Bryant law makes it a misdemeanor if a first responder takes any kind of picture of a deceased victims at a crime or accident scene, without prior authorization. Offenders will be given a fine no more than $1,000 for each separate offense.
The law will go into effect on January 1, 2021.
It still hurts to say it, but RIP Kobe Bryant and the 7 others who passed away on that tragic day.
