Gay Spongebob Squarepants is going viral after Nickelodeon revealed Spongebob is gay. The news came as surprise to most fans of the show who would of never guessed that Spongebob was actually gay. Nickelodeon made the announcement when they included a colorful Spongebob Squarepants in a gay pride tweet supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Some people feel Spongebob can’t be gay because he doesn’t like men or women, similar to the late Michael Jackson. Others argued that would still make him “queer”, which to them still makes him part of the gay community. Some people feel sorry for Sandy who always seemed like she would eventually marry Spongebob on the show.
It would be interesting to see what Dwyane Wade thinks about the new gay Spongebob Squarepants.
