Anthony Miracola Cries with His Wife After Defeating NBA Players and WNBA Star Lexie Brown to Win Gil’s Arena Shootout

Anthony Miracola, a name that might not ring a bell to the casual basketball fan, but to those who follow the sport closely, he is a figure of intrigue and admiration. Miracola, a native of Toledo, Ohio, is a world record holder. He holds multiple Guinness World Records for his extraordinary shooting skills, including the most three-pointers made in a minute, and the most consecutive three-pointers made in one minute with a single ball. His unconventional, robotic shooting form, which he has honed over the years, has been the subject of much discussion and analysis.

Gil’s Arena Three Point Shootout Rules Explained

In a recent event that brought together former NBA players, YouTube stars, and random people, Miracola emerged as the unlikely champion. The event was none other than the Gil’s Arena Three Point Shootout, sponsored by Underdog Fantasy. The stakes were high, with a grand prize of $100,000 up for grabs.

The competition was fierce, with former NBA players Rashard McCants, Gilbert Arenas, Nick Young, and Brandon Jennings participating. Current WNBA star Lexie Brown, who plays for the LA Sparks, was also in the competition, adding to the star-studded lineup. There were also some famous YouTubers such as Jenna, and random people who were competing as well.

The contest was structured in three rounds. The qualifying round required contestants to take 25 mid-range shots, moving in a zig-zag pattern to each ball rack. The semi-finals round upped the ante, with each contestant having to take 50 shots, 25 from the high school three-point line, and 25 from the college line. The final round was the ultimate test, with each contestant having to take 25 college line threes, and 25 NBA range threes.

Anthony Miracola Broke Down in Tears After Defeating NBA and WNBA Players

Despite the intense competition and high stakes, one of the most surprising outcomes was the performance of Gilbert Arenas. Arenas, who had trained hard for the competition, only managed to make 12 shots in the first round, resulting in him losing his own event with the lowest score.

Brandon Jennings and Rashad McCants also lost in the first round, scoring 18 and 17 points respectively. Nick Young was eliminated in the second round, with some of his shots being disqualified because his foot was on the three-point line.

Amidst all the surprises and upsets, there was one constant – Anthony Miracola. His performance was nothing short of phenomenal. With his unique shooting form, he made it through every round, defeating three former NBA players and a current WNBA player. In the final round, he made an astonishing 42 out of 50 shots to win the grand prize of $100,000. The moment was surreal as he ran into the stands, crying tears of joy, to hug his wife.

It serves as a reminder that sometimes, the most unlikely of champions can emerge victorious, even when pitted against seasoned professionals. Also more proof that your jump shot doesn’t need to look textbook to work.

Anthony Miracola can now say he beat NBA players Gilbert Arenas, Rashad McCants, Nick Young, Brandon Jennings and WNBA player Lexie Brown in a shooting competition. Could he be the real greatest shooter ever, or are you still taking Stephen Curry over him?
