They were both drafted in 2003, and for most of their careers where compared to each other. Back in the day arguments used to be who would be better out of Melo and Lebron.

Now after 17 years in the NBA Carmelo and Lebron are meeting in the playoffs for the first time.

It’s clear Lebron James has had the better career since he went on to become the greatest player of all time, but now is the time Carmelo Anthony has chance to make his mark. If he can do the impossible and send Lebron home in the first round, Carmelo Anthony would instantly enter into the conversation of true NBA legends.

It took 17 years for Carmelo and Lebron to reach this point.

Let’s hope their long friendship doesn’t get in the way of them giving max effort.
