Horrific Stats Show James Harden Has Made the Nets Worse

Horrific stats show James Harden has made Nets worse. Before signing Harden the Nets were seen as one of the worst defensive teams in the league. After the signing Harden that defense has plummeted to new woeful depths.

When Jerami Grant scored a career high 32 points in Pistons dominating win over the Nets, it highlighted again how Nets have some of the worst defense ever seen.

According to ESPN Stats & Info Nets have allowed 16 30 point games this season, which is the most in the NBA. However, 11 of those 16 games came after Nets signed James Harden. As expected since Harden joined Nets on January 16, they have also allowed the most 30 point games in the time span.

Nets defensive stats since signing James Harden get even worse. In the 13 games Nets play since he joined the team Nets have the leagues worst defense giving up 119 points per 100 possessions. They now rank 27th defense giving 114 points per 100 possessions on the season.

This Nets teams as currently constructed are most likely not making the finals. They aren’t a true contenders. It’s laughable that Nets thought signing James Harden was a good thing considering he exposed himself as an Impostor behind the Beard during his Rockets tenure.
