Does Luka Doncic Hate Kristaps Porzingis? Video Proves Luka Doncic Doesn’t Pass To Kristaps Porzingis On Purpose
One of the biggest stories of the Mavericks vs Clippers series has been the seemingly underwhelming performances of Kristaps Porzingis. Once known as one of the best big men in the league, and he has been reduced to a below average role player with the emergence of Luka Doncic, but is it really his fault? A viral video proves that Luka Doncic doesn’t pass to Kristaps Porzingis on purpose, which is probably the reason he can never get an offensive rhythm.
In Game 6 Kristaps Porzingis had just 7 points on 7 shots in 31 minutes. On the flipside Boban Marjanovic took 13 shots in only 17 minutes. How is he getting more shots on offense than the second best player on Mavericks roster? The answer might be Luka Doncic not passing Kristaps Porzingis the ball, because they don’t like each other.
Kristaps Porzingis seems to have been largely removed from Dallas’ offensive schemes, and is being used a floor spacer despite the fact that he is 7’3″. On most plays you will see him standing in the corner like a statue, and even when he is open he still doesn’t get the ball. On the rare occasions Luka Doncic does pass him the ball he is not even expecting it, which sometimes leads to turnover. As example check out this video below.
It seems possible that Luka Doncic hates Kristaps Porzingis, and vice versa. However, they have a game 7 coming up, so they are going to need their chemistry to be A-1 to make it to the next round. Don’t be surprise if you see Mavericks make it a point to get Kristaps involved in the offense early.
