Heat’s worst nightmare almost came true when Jimmy Butler slipped while doing jump stop move. Jimmy Butler injured his leg and ankle, almost tearing his ACL during Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals Lakers vs Heat.
As Jimmy Butler planted his foot with Anthony Davis guarding him, Jimmy Butler twisted his ankle causing his entire leg to give out under him. He went down in pain forcing Miami to call a timeout, as Heat fans around the world held their collective breaths.

Jimmy Butler went back to the locker room, but then returned to the game shortly after. He still had a slight limp, but appeared to be fine otherwise.
It seems Jimmy Butler escaped a serious knee or ankle injury. Injuries like these can get worse after the game, so hopefully it doesn’t cause him to miss any time during the 2020 NBA Finals.
