Leaked Bodycam footage of police racially profiling black Versace Vice President Salehe Bembury is making “Shopping While Black” go viral. In the footage police claim they are stopping the black Versace VP of Footwear for “jaywalking”. The situation quickly turns into something different when they tell him to put his hands behind his back so they can search him.

As the police racially profiled Salehe Bembury, you could hear them make comments about his expensive Versace shoes and the bag he was carrying in a mocking manner. Social media has dubbed the potentially racist incident “Shopping While Black”.

When more police started to pull up even though the Black Versace VP was completely calm, he naturally started getting very nervous. At this point Salehe Bembury started to record on the police, which you can see in the second video above.

After police checked Selehe Bembury’s ID, they realized he had no record and allowed him to leave. It’s hard to argue against this being an incident of “Shopping While Black”, as many people on social media are labeling it.
