Did Drake Diss Pusha T in ‘Meltdown’ Lyrics? Evidence Inside

Drake and Pusha T have been feuding for years, exchanging diss tracks and subliminal shots at each other. The latest chapter in their rivalry seems to have been sparked by Travis Scott’s new song “Meltdown”, which features Drake as a guest. On the track, Drake appears to take aim at Pusha T and his relationship with Kanye West, who is both his mentor and label boss.

The Evidence Fueling Conspiracy That Drake Dissed Pusha T in Meltdown Lyrics

In one of his verses, Drake raps: “I meltdown the chains that I bought from ya boss, give a f*** about all that heritage s***. Since V not around the members hung up the Louis, they not even wearing that s***”. Fans have interpreted these lines as Drake trying to belittle Pusha T by insinuating that he is not a boss, but just one of Kanye West’s workers. Drake also seems to mock Pusha T’s fashion choices, implying that he only wears Louis Vuitton because of Kanye West’s influence.

The reference to “V” is likely a nod to Virgil Abloh, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection and a close friend of Kanye West. Abloh passed away from a rare form of cancer some years ago.

This is not the first time that Drake has dissed Pusha T and Kanye West on a Travis Scott song. In 2018, Drake appeared on Travis Scott’s hit “Sicko Mode”, where he rapped: “I crept down the block, made a right, cut the lights, paid the price. N****s think it’s sweet, it’s on sight, nothing nice, baguettes in my ice, Jesus Christ”.

These lines were widely seen as a reference to Drake’s alleged visit to Kanye West’s home in Calabasas, California, where he supposedly confronted him about leaking information to Pusha T.

Pusha T has not yet responded to Drake’s alleged latest diss on “Meltdown”, but he may do so in the near future. The two rappers have a long history of beef, dating back to 2011 when Pusha T started taking shots at Drake for his loyalty to Lil Wayne, and his use of ghostwriters.

The feud reached its peak in 2018, when Pusha T exposed Drake’s secret son on his track “The Story of Adidon”. Drake later admitted that he had a son on his album Scorpion, but also claimed that he had a diss track ready for Pusha T that he decided not to release.
