On day of remembrance, Joe Biden was seemingly left remembering the disrespectful messages he saw on his way to an appearance at the Shanksville, PA Volunteer fire department. Based on the answer he gave when asked to share his thoughts about 9/11, it seems Joe Biden saw ‘F Joe Biden’ signs in Philadelphia.
In his full statement Joe Biden said,
“What would the people who died be thinking? You think it makes sense to be doing this kind of thing where you ride down the street, and see a sign that says ‘F so-and-so’?”
It sure sounds like Joe Biden saw ‘F Biden’ signs on his way to a 9/11 event, which just seems all kinds of wrong. The use of “so-and-so” was probably a safe way of repeating the phrase without saying the entire phrase, which would technically be dissing himself.
Political warfare can be so unforgiving, because often times what should be off limits becomes the threshold for sending a message. As result some controversial moments happen at the worst possible times.
For a president, seeing a message like “F Joe Biden” on the anniversary of one of the most tragic events in US history really has to sting. A day like 9/11 should be a hold hands with your enemies around the campfire type of day, considering all that was lost.
