Does Giannis Antetokounmpo Have a Heart Issue? Here is Evidence Behind the Giannis Heart Injury Conspiracy Theory
Less than two minutes into Game 4 of the NBA Finals Suns vs Bucks, Giannis was seen breathing heavy and looking to the sideline to be subbed out for a breather. Throughout the quarter he was laboring around, and didn’t score until 6 minutes into the quarter. He would finish out the quarter missing 6 point blank shots around the rim. The strange incident started make people wonder if Giannis Antetokounmpo has heart problems he may be battling. The evidence supporting the Giannis heart injury conspiracy theory goes beyond Game 4.
In Game 3 of the NBA Finals the same situation happened where Giannis looked very tired at the beginning of the game forcing Coach Bud to sub him out early for a “breather”. If you go back further you’ll realize that the same situation also happened during Game 6 of the Nets vs Bucks series. In that game Giannis was seen rubbing his eyes on the bench as he was taking the early breather.
Why Was Giannis Antetokounmpo Subbed Out Early in NBA Finals Game 4?
During his postgame interview after Game 4 the reporter asked Giannis why he had to take breathers early on in two straight games. Giannis always preaches that he doesn’t want to make things about him, so he joked about the situation saying he needed to take a “tinkle”. However, just from watching the games you can see after Giannis Antetokounmpo was subbed out early during the three times this happened he never left the bench. Back when it happened in the Nets series he allegedly attributed it to having too much nerves in the moment, and needing to calm down.
This is the moment the reporter asked Giannis about the strange early substitutions.
Here is the moment from Game 3 where Giannis asked to subbed out early after taking a free throw. Coach Bud made an emergency substitution with Pat Connaughton, and Giannis was seen breathing very heavily on the bench. It was scary how tired Giannis looked in that moment, almost as scary as how tired he looked when it happened during Game 7 vs Nets.
Back in September 2017 tragedy hit the sports world when Giannis Antetokounmpo’s father Charles passed away from a heart attack while visiting him in Milwaukee. Scientifically speaking this would increase Giannis’ chances of having a heart related issue since often times heart ailments are genetically connected to your parents. When people go the doctor with a heart issue one of the first things they check is your family history of heart ailments.
Never before in Giannis’ NBA career have we seen him get that tired very quickly early on in three different games. Hopefully that conspiracy theory that Giannis Antetokounpo has heart issues remains just that, an unproven theory.
