Milwaukee Bucks Boycott Game 5 vs Magic of NBA Playoffs to Protest Police Shooting Jacob Blake in Kenosha
Kyrie Irving’s dream of the NBA players taking a major stance against social injustice has come true. Milwaukee Bucks boycotted Game 5 vs Magic of NBA playoffs and the arena is currently empty. Bucks boycotted Game 5 to protest Wisconsin police shooting Jacob Blake 7 times in the back as he entered his car. Jacob Blake was reportedly trying to breakup a fight when police shot him for no reason.
The Magic players took the court for warmups before realizing the Bucks team wasn’t showing up, and the game was cancelled.

This is a major moment in NBA history, because no one expected players to take a stance against racism this strong in 2020. Most people expected NBA player just to voice their opinion on the Kenosha shooting, but it caught everyone by surprise when Bucks boycotted Game 5. This is exactly the type of stance Kyrie Irving was hoping NBA players would take before they went to the Orlando Bubble.
Many people said if NBA player go to Orlando Bubble their impact on the fight against social injustices would diminished. However, with Bucks boycotting Game 5 vs Magic, their impact is more powerful than ever.
