Noname called out black men who joked about Megan Thee Stallion Getting Shot and took shots at male rappers for letting Talib Kweli harass black women. In her emotional post Noname explained that seeing black men such as 50 Cent joke about Megan Thee Stallion getting shot in her foot hurt in ways she can’t articulate. In essence it’s the type of pain that makes you cry on the inside, we all know that hurts more.
In terms of the Talib Kweli situation, Noname was sad that no male rappers called him out while he was allegedly harassing black women for weeks. Noname seems to be saying black male rappers spoke out with negativity when Megan Thee Stallion got shot, but remained silent when Talib Kweli was spewing negativity towards black women.
It will be interesting to see if this trend of female rap artists calling out males who joked about Megan Thee Stallion continues. It seems when 50 Cent made the disrespectful post about Megan Thee Stallion getting shot, it was tipping point in the situation from a sociopolitical standpoint.
