Most notably people are angry at CGI Looney Tunes characters in Space Jam New Legacy. Most people were thinking they would have the 2D hand drawn look again.
The new images from Space Jam New Legacy showed a CGI Tweety, Bugs Bunny, and Lola Bunny. Although they look stellar and more life like, there is just something about the hand drawn style of cartoon characters mixed with real life that just looks better. It’s cool that we have the technology now to make Looney Tunes characters appear “life like”, but part of the Space Jam nostalgia was the 2D animation style that look hand drawn into the real life. There is some rumors that the movie may have a mixture of both styles, but none of the teasers indicate this to be so. Seeing CGI Looney Tunes characters in Space Jam New Legacy crushed a lot of dreams.
