If you haven’t heard then spread the word, Gelo Ball’s name is officially on the NBA map. In only 16 minutes Gelo Ball scored 16 points knocking down 5/8 three point shots. One of them was 4 point play, which quelled the worry that he wouldn’t be able to get off his shot when crowded by defenders, because his low gather point. He brings the ball to his knees before shooting if you watch closely.

Due to his incredible performance Lavar Ball’s “I Told You So” BBB hat at Liangelo Ball’s summer league debut became the ultimate BBB flex. Gelo Ball had so many haters, so many doubters, who were all proved wrong today. You would often hear people say he couldn’t hang with top level talent despite the fact that he averaged almost 30 points per game in high school against some of the top players in the nation. Keep mind he hasn’t played against supreme talent in almost 2 years, and was coming off two ankle surgeries.

Like the Lavar Ball’s hat says, “I Told You So” is how Gelo Ball fans are feeling right now.

Liangelo Ball showed many good traits today along with his consistent shooting. He showed great court awareness on the play where he tapped a lose ball to his teammate for an alley-oop layup. Then there was another play where he was able to do a spin dribble away from a double team situation, then find an open teammate to keep the offense flowing. He also showed ability to secure offense rebounds in traffic. One thing he didn’t show any improvement on is being vocal on the court, and on the sideline. In interviews before the game some of the coaches pointed out that he was very “quiet”.
