The marks looked like indentations that went from his jawline all the way to the back of his neck, prompting social media to speculate on what caused them.
Was Joe Biden Wearing Fake Skin?
Perhaps one of the wildest theories behind the marks come from conspiracy theorists who think Joe Biden was hiding his true identity or a health condition by wearing a prosthetic disguise. Some even compared him to the villain in the movie Men in Black, who wore a human skin suit.
Did a CPAP Machine Cause Joe Biden’s Face Marks?
Another theory is that Joe Biden is using a CPAP machine to treat sleep apnea, a common disorder that causes breathing interruptions during sleep. A CPAP machine pumps air through a tube to a mask strapped on the user’s nose, which can leave marks on the face from the pressure. The use of that machine could indicate that Biden might suffer from sleep apnea, and the White House never disclosed it on medical forms.
Sleep apnea affects millions of Americans and can increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. It can also cause daytime sleepiness, impaired concentration, and mood changes. CPAP machines are one of the most effective treatments for sleep apnea, as they keep the airway open and prevent snoring and gasping.
The Joe Biden Nebulizer Conspiracy Theory
A nebulizer is another medical device that some conspiracy theorists believe caused the mark on Joe Biden’s face. A nebulizer is used to deliver medication in the form of a mist to the lungs, usually for people with asthma or other respiratory diseases.
Some nebulizers do not require a mask or straps, but rather a mouthpiece or a face mask that covers the nose and mouth. However, there are some models such as the one above that do use a mask with straps that could possibly cause an indent like what is seen in the photos below.
It’s likely that the White House will probably reveal that Joe Biden uses a CPAP device for sleep apnea, because it seems like the most plausible explanation. However, even if that is confirmed the conspiracy theories surrounding his overall health will continue to be a hot topic, especially since he confirmed he is running for another term.
