NBA star Anthony Edwards has issued a public apology to women across America after his private text messages with Instagram model @dreampaige were leaked online, revealing that he allegedly paid her $100,000 to get an abortion.

The text messages, which were posted by Paige Dream aka @dreampaige on her Instagram story, showed that Edwards was allegedly pressuring her to take abortion pills and send him a video as proof. The message allege that he repeatedly told her to take the pills, and threatened to use his attorney her if she did not comply. @dreampaige also shared a screenshot of a receipt that allegedly confirmed Edwards had transferred $100,000 to her account.

Before taking a look at his apology, take a look through the text messages. It started with @dreampaige showing the positive pregnancy test. Anthony Edwards immediately said, “get an abortion lol”.

Here he allegedly begins to offer her money to get the abortion.

Things took another turn when he allegedly told her to record of video of the pills she was taking.

When there was a bit of a disagreement he allegedly threatened to notify his attorney.

The IG Model Paige Dream included a screenshot of the alleged receipt from the $100K abortion payment.

The Apology to Women: Anthony Edwards Responds to Leaked Text Messages

Edwards, who plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves, released a statement on his Twitter account, admitting that he made:

“comments in the heat of a moment that are not me, and that not aligned with what I believe, and who I want to be as a man.” He added that “all women should be supported and empowered to make their own decisions about their bodies, and what is best for them”

He also said that he was “handling my personal matters privately, and will not be commenting on them any further at this time.”
