Rapper and entrepreneur Berner made some startling claims about the CIA’s role in the hip-hop industry in a recent interview on the Bootleg Kev Podcast. He said that he thinks there are some rappers who are actually CIA operatives, and their mission is to start feuds with other artists and provoke them to do something illegal that will land them in jail and ruin their careers.
What Rappers Does Berner Believe are CIA Operatives Working in Secret?
Berner, who is known for his collaborations with Wiz Khalifa and his cannabis brand Cookies, said that he has been in the industry for a long time, and he has witnessed many things that raised his doubts. He said that some of the rappers who are constantly on social media creating drama with others are probably working for the CIA and have a hidden motive.
He insinuated that their goal is to destroy the culture and the movement of hip-hop by making people lose everything they worked for. He said that this is similar to how the government allegedly took down Fred Hampton, the leader of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, in 1969. Hampton was betrayed by William O’Neal, an FBI informant who infiltrated the party and gave information that led to Hampton’s killing by the police.
Berner believes something similar is happening to hip-hop right now.
Berner seems to be urging his fans and fellow artists to be careful and not fall for the alleged traps set by the CIA, and other enemies of hip-hop.
When you think of CIA plants in hip-hop, the first name that comes to many peoples’ minds is Tekashi69, he took down an entire label by himself. What other rappers would be most likely to be a CIA operative?
