Bald Derrick White Concedes Defeat to NBA Twitter During Celtics Media Day 2023 Interview

Derrick White, the star guard of the Boston Celtics, showed up to the team’s media day on Monday with a new look: a shaved head. White, who had been known for his receding hairline and headband, said he decided to go bald a few weeks ago, and claim the decision didn’t have anything to do with his hairline becoming a trending topic on social media. Barkley and O’Neal compared White to ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith, who also has a notorious hairline. The clip of their jokes went viral, and many fans urged White to shave his hair.

White said he was not offended by the roast, and that he had planned to shave his hair anyway. He said he wanted to give the fans what they wanted, and that he was happy with his new look.
