Viral video shows Brian Ortega in an ambulance after UFC 266. He appeared to be in some serious pain before the doctors closed the doors to the truck. At the end of fight you could see Brian Ortega’s forehead looked deformed from all the hard hits he took during the match.
There was even a moment where the referee almost stopped the fight when Alexander Volkanovski was pummeling him. Considering Brian Ortega was taken to the hospital expeditiously, maybe the match should have ended a bit earlier.
The final stats of the match showed Alexander Volkanovski hit Brian Ortega 79 more times during match, and it really showed on how badly mangled his face was after the fight.
