It seems like an impractical situation, but one woman named Angie Yen is facing that reality, or so she claims. The Australian Asian woman got an Irish accent after surgery, and doctors have no idea why.
TikTok user Angie Mcyen was going in for a routine tonsil removal surgery at a hospital in Brisbane Queensland, but she had no idea it would change her life. She first noticed her new Irish accent has she was getting ready for a job interview. She called up all her friends and family who also confirmed her accent had completely changed.
On the Internet people tried to call Angie Yen’s Irish accent a fake ploy for attention, so she released the TikTok video below defending herself. She claims to be a private person, which is why she doesn’t have any videos to prove what her accent used to sound like before her tonsils were removed.
