LeBron James is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but how much does he know about football? The Los Angeles Lakers superstar recently posted a video on social media where he claimed to be a fan of the NFL, and praised some of the best tight ends in the league.
Was Lebron James Caught Capping About His NFL Knowledge of Best Tight Ends?
The footage went left when some eagle-eyed viewers noticed that his list of names and the order in which he said them matched exactly with a list on a sports website, leading to accusations that he was lying about his NFL knowledge and reading off the website.
In the video, LeBron greeted the league’s tight ends and named Travis Kelce, George Kittle, Mark Andrews and T.J. Hockenson as his favorites.
However, some users quickly pointed out that LeBron’s list was identical to a list on a website, which had published an article discussing the top 15 tight ends in the NFL. The article ranked was Kelce, Kittle, Andrews and Hockenson, in the same order as LeBron’s.
This coincidence raised suspicions that LeBron was not actually a genuine fan of the NFL and the tight ends, but rather a casual viewer who was trying to impress his followers by pretending to be an expert.
Some users accused him of lying, cheating and being a bandwagon fan. Others joked that he was using a teleprompter, a script or a website to read off the names. Some even suggested that he should stick to basketball and leave football to the real fans.
Was this another Lebron caught in 4K lying moment?
LeBron has not responded to the allegations or explained how he came up with his list of tight ends. He is known to be a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns in the NFL, and has expressed his admiration for several football players in the past, such as Tom Brady, Odell Beckham Jr. and Patrick Mahomes. He has also claimed that he could have played in the NFL as a tight end if he had pursued a career in football instead of basketball.
However, his latest video has cast doubt on his credibility as a football fan and his knowledge of the NFL. Whether he was lying or not, he has certainly sparked a lot of controversy and criticism on social media. Perhaps he should have done more research before making his video, or at least checked if his list was original or not.
