20,000 tons of diesel fuel leaked into Ambarnaya and Daldykan rivers in Siberia, causing Russia to declarer state of emergency. The plant where the fuel tanks ruptured was located in Norilsk above the arctic circle. It is one of the largest fuel spills in Russia’s history, and is already considered a major federal problem.
