People are wondering if Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry are Zionists after a post on Instagram related to the Israel Palestine conflict. Ayesha Curry shared an IDF propaganda post, which led to people realizing that Stephen Curry has a Hebrew tattoo on his wrist.

Ayesha Curry’s IDF post had a message saying, “What’s going in Gaza and Israel? Since Monday terrorist organizations in Gaza have been attacking Israel with thousands of Rockets”. What people are trying to figure out is if she is supporting Israel or sarcastically mocking them by reposting IDF propaganda. She added a caption saying, “Praying for the safety of all these innocent people in both Gaza and Israel”, which could be an indication that she is neutral about the situation. However, Stephen Curry’s Hebrew tattoo could indicate the Curry’s are Zionists.

What Is a Zionist?

Zionism is a nationalist and ideological movement among Jewish people. Zionists believe in protecting and developing the Jewish nation now known as Israel. The Zionist term originates from the name “Zion”, which is a hill near the city of Jerusalem. At core of the Zionist movement is the goal of creating an independent Jewish state.

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry being Zionists wouldn’t be controversial per say, but rather just surprising to many people. It’s really tough to decipher the true reason Ayesha Curry posted IDF propaganda that seems to make Palestine look like the only aggressor.

However, her caption at the bottom of the post sends a message that resonates with both sides. Hopefully, peace comes sooner and later to save innocents lives in Israel and Palestine.
