With Max Kellerman removed from First Take, people were wondering who would come in to replace him. That was answered when it was announced that Michael Irvin is joining First Take on Mondays, while Tim Tebow will join First Take on Fridays.
Is Michael Irvin First Take’s Answer to Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed?
We all know how well the chemistry between Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe works on Undisputed. One gives hot takes that most people consider trolling, while the other brings a comedic side to things with unmatched personality and energy. When you think of the way Shannon Sharpe carries himself on Undisputed there is only one other guy you can think of who is similar, that is Michael Irvin.

Many people think Undisputed is a much better show than First Take, but the addition of Michael Irvin changes things. The world was wishing for a show where Stephen A Smith would debate with Shannon Sharpe, but this is the next best thing.
In terms of the Tim Tebow addition, it doesn’t really make sense, but it will definitely bring in massive viewership numbers.
All in all it seems Max Kellerman was removed from First Take so they could increase the star power on the show.
