Khabib Nurmagomedov Telling Islam Makhachev To Move His Leg Over Dan Hooker’s Head To Secure Submission Victory Goes Viral
Right before Islam Makhachev defeated Dan Hooker in the first round, he received some on the fly coaching tips from Khabib that once again showed just how genius his grabbling skills are. Islam Makhachev was slightly struggling to secure Dan Hooker’s arm, until Khabib told him to move his leg over the back of his head.
Once that happened Dan Hooker’s body was put in an unnatural position where he had no leverage to fight the force of Islam trying to break his arm. The subtle move of putting his leg over the back of his head completely eliminated any leverage he had to defend himself from the submission hold. At that point Dan Hooker had no choice, but to tap out or have his arm severely damaged.
In the footage Khabib is speaking another language, but the translation is him telling Islam Makhachev to move his leg over Dan Hooker’s head.
Islam Makhachev Says “I Didn’t Need to Shower” After Dan Hooker Fight
Khabib’s coaching job has Islam Makhachev beyond confident in and out of the Octagon. After destroying Dan Hooker in quick fashion he threw salt on his open wounds after the fight. During his post-fight press conference Islam Makhachev said he didn’t need to shower after the Dan Hooker fight. Ouch.
Khabib went undefeated through his career, because he mastered the art of grappling at a level never before seen. He is now passing that knowledge down to his nephew Islam Makhachev who know has a record of 21-1.
