Kimberly Martin’s White Husband Goes Viral As Fans Compare Her to Malika Andrews After Disrespectful Cam Newton Comments Spark Backlash

Instead of giving a respectful to response to his insight, Kimberly Martin began by attacking Cam Newton’s clothing style. She then went on to compare Cam Newton to a person on tweeting from their basement. She even went on to insult his legacy harping on the fact that he’s not currently in the NFL.

A person who never played football before called Cam Newton a basement dweller on Live TV, because he gave insight using his knowledge of actually playing in the NFL.

“In the year of 2023, where it’s all about NFL backups, where is Cam?” Martin said. “Not on an NFL roster, right? So he’s talking about all these NFL game managers. He sounds like the people literally tweeting at me from their basement. Like you are at home watching me. Just turn the TV off. It just sounds so foolish”.

Martin also mocked Newton’s fashion choices, saying “like, move past the outfit first of all” and questioned his legacy, saying “he’s not even in the league right now”.

Where did all that vitriol come from? Martin’s remarks were seen by many as disrespectful and unnecessary, especially coming from someone who never played football professionally.

Around social media many people are posting memes and photos of Kimberly Martin’s with her white husband, as they continue to defend Cam Newton’s honor.

Andrews, who is biracial, has been under fire for her coverage of the Ime Udoka scandal, which involved the Celtics coach having a consensual affair with a female staff member that violated team policies.

The staff member later accused Udoka of making unwanted comments toward her, which prompted the team to suspend him for the season.

Andrews, clashed with Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins on Live TV over the matter, when they suggested the woman needed to be held accountable for relationship as well, since it was consensual. Many people on social media accused her of trying to belittle them on Live TV.

After that incident when Celtics named Joe Mazzulla their new head coach, she shoehorned his arrest history from his college days while making the announcement.

Way before these incidents, she shoehorned Adreian Payne’s arrest record while announcing his death on Live TV. Whether or not she was told to say these things has always been up for debate.

Kimberly Martin never faced these types of accusations from social media, until she seemed to attack Cam Newton’s character for absolutely no good reason. There aren’t any videos in the past where Cam Newton appeared to disrespect her in anyway. It’s still completely baffling that she attacked his character that way on Live TV with no hesitation.

Would she have done that if Cam Newton was white? This is what some people on social media are wondering.

Even when he responded to her comments, he was still polite and did not insult her in anyway. Rather he just asked the million dollar question, why not just keep it strictly sports and refute his take respectfully? Cam Newton proved he would never disrespect a black woman on Live TV for no reason, the way he was talked down upon by Martin.

Is it a coincidence that two of the top female faces of ESPN sports shows both have been allegedly connected romantically with white men, or is social media reaching? Is it a coincidence that social media has now accused both Malika Andrews and Kimberly Martin of disrespecting black men on Live TV?

Those are very tough questions to answer that would all be based on perspective and opinion. However, it’s clear that Kimberly Martin should publicly apologize to Cam Newton, or the social media backlash might never end.
