Throughout the series Vegeta’s neck muscles got bigger and bigger as the episodes went on, but many people never noticed.

As you can see in our side by side comparison Vegeta went from having a pencil neck to having a neck the size of a tree trunk.
The training he underwent to become a Super Saiyan stronger than Goku might have failed in the end, but at least Vegeta can say his neck development was completely unmatched.
