How the Michigan Zoom Assault Hearing Ended After the Court Discovered Abuser Holding Victim “Hostage”
During the preliminary examination 3b district Zoom Court hearing both the abuser and victim were present, but the assailant Cody Harris claimed they were in different places. After about 5 minutes of the Zoom Court hearing a state attorney named Deborah Davis noticed some strange movements from the victim Mary Lindsey as they grilled her about the 911 call she made. In the footage she kept looking off to the side as if she was in fear. That’s when the state attorney told the judge that she has reason to believe the abuser is in the same apartment as the victim during the remote court hearing.
At this point they asked the alleged abuser Cody Harris to take a picture of his address outside, to which he replied that his phone battery was about to die. That’s when police were sent to Mary Lindsey’s address, and arrested Cody Harris on camera. The consequences of his actions would make his situation even worse.
The wall in the background was giveaway that Cody Harris was in the same room as Mary Lindsey.

For his actions Cody Harris’ bond was revoked, as he pleaded to the judge that he never hit his ex-girlfriend.
The court case was set for a new date on March 16, except this time he will be attending from prison.
