A Travis Scott capsule collection was supposed to released by Dior as part of their Summer 2022 line, but it will no longer happen for the time being. In a statement from Dior they explained that the decision to cancel Travis Scott’s partnership was made out of respect for the victims of the Astroworld Festival massacre.

In their full statement on cancelling Travis Scott Dior said,

“Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection”

This adds to a growing list of companies who are distancing themselves from the embattled superstar.

Much of backlash Travis Scott is getting for the Astroworld Festival disaster stems from the accusations that he didn’t stop the concert despite seeing people dying in the crowd. Travis Scott has denied these allegations claiming that he didn’t know anything happened until the concert was over. However, the viral video above seems to show Travis Scott looking directly at police trying to help a fan who was lifeless on the ground, and continuing to perform.

At the moment it really seems like Travis Scott’s career will never recover after the Astroworld Festival deaths.
