According to reports the autopsy revealed the police shot Andrew Brown Jr in the head, and 4 more times. The death certificate says Andrew Brown Jr was dead shortly after the headshot. This raises the question if Elizabeth City Police executed Andrew Brown Jr to make sure he was silenced from speaking out about the incident. This could explain why 3 Elizabeth City officers have quit their jobs, and 7 others were suspended due to this incident. Reports say Elizabeth City police were responding to a search warrant when they shot and killed Andrew Brown Jr. Eyewitness accounts say Andrew Brown Jr was driving away when the police officers opened fire on him for an unknown reason. The family of Andrew Brown Jr adamantly claims he was running only because he feared for his life. In essence he seemed to feel the police officers were trying to kill him.
When you have cops resigning, and others getting suspended before Bodycam footage is made public it most likely means it will show they are guilty of committing murder.

In a statement to media the representatives of Andrew Brown Jr’s family made a bold threat to Elizabeth City Law enforcement. They said, “We’re going to destroy this system and we’re going to reimagine what it should be”.
It sounds like they feel this situation will change a corrupt policing system in that area for good.
