GoFundMe Page for 16 Year Old Drill Rapper ‘YM’ aka Mikey Roynon Stabbed to Death After Mob of 200 People Crash Birthday Goes Viral

The tragic death of Mikey Roynon, a 16-year-old rapper known as YM, has shocked and saddened the music community and the public. Mikey was stabbed to death at a birthday party in Bath, after a mob of 200 people crashed the event that was advertised on social media.

According to reports, Mikey and his friends decided to attend the party at a house on Eastfield Avenue in Weston on a whim, after seeing images of the event online. He had just finished his GCSEs, and was an aspiring drill rapper who dreamed of making a career in music. He had released several tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud under his stage name YM, which stands for Young Mikey.

However, his life was cut short when he suffered a single stab wound at around 11 pm and died at the scene. Three boys – a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old from Wiltshire, and a 15-year-old from Dorset have been arrested, and are being questioned by detectives. Eight other teenagers who were detained on a bus nearby have been released without charge.

Mikey’s family and friends have paid tribute to him as “a kind, loving and thoughtful soul” who cared about his loved ones and had a passion for music. His death has also sparked outrage and calls for action to tackle knife crime and violence among young people. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with his funeral arrangements.

On the crowdfunding page is a message that says, “Hello, as many of you know Mikey aka “YM” has recently passed away during an altercation resulting in some very unforgivable actions. As you can imagine his mum and dad are distraught their son will forever be 16. Mikey was such a kind loving and thoughtful soul who cared so much about his friends and family. He was so funny and fearless. This money will more than likely go towards the expenses his family now need to pay out, loss of earnings, funeral, headstone etc. anything of their choice. So if you could spare anything we would be more than grateful. Thank you.”

Mikey’s murder is the second fatal stabbing of a teenager in Bath in less than two months, according to reports. On May 10, 2023, Ben Moncrieff, 18, died after an incident in the city center. A 15-year-old boy from south London has been charged with his murder and possession of a bladed article. Here in America we have issues with gun control, but in the Bath it seems like they have issues with knife control.

The police have urged anyone who has information, images or footage that could help their investigation to come forward. They have also reassured the community that they are doing everything they can to prevent further incidents, and bring those responsible to justice.
