Halo Infinite Crashing at Startup? Here is a List of Every Nvidia and AMD Graphic Card Incompatible with Halo Infinite

Since the release of Halo Infinite’s free multiplayer beta many gamers have been met with error messages preventing them from joining in on the fun. One of the most common issues reported was the DirectX 12 error that would sometimes say ‘Hardware Tiled Resources Tier 2’ not found.

For people on the lucky side of things updating their DirectX to the latest version of 12, and updating your graphic card drivers did the trick to get things running smoothly. However, a vast amount of people were still left getting the same error or watching the game crash after a few seconds.

For people experiencing these issues on graphic cards that are seemingly DirectX 12 compatible, the issue is a bit deeper. Older graphic cards are often running on the 11_1 version of DirectX 12, while Halo Infinite allegedly requires at least 12_0. You can see this information by running the “dxdiag” command on Windows platforms.

In addition Halo Infinite allegedly requires 4GB of VRAM minimum.

If you have one of these graphic cards you won’t be able to run Halo Infinite with that device, but that doesn’t mean you can’t play on that device. If you’ve never joined XBox Gamepass Ultimate you can join for only $1 for the first month, which gives you access to XCloud game streaming.

By streaming Halo Infinite through XCloud you would get access to the multiplayer beta, and eventually the campaign. The best part is you would still be playing it on your PC or laptop.
