Kawhi Leonard Legacy Destroyed: Kawhi Leonard Blows 3-1 Series Lead as Clippers Choke Losing Game 7 to Nuggets

We never thought we would say these words, but Clippers just blew a 3-1 lead and Kawhi Leonard’s legacy is destroyed. When Clippers choked and lost game 7 to Denver Nuggets, the unstoppable aura Kawhi had built around himself after leaving San Antonio vanished instantly. Instead we are all thinking how could Kawhi Leonard blow a 3-1 lead with Paul George, Patrick Beverley, Doc Rivers, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Marcus Morris, and a slew of other players as his supporting cast. With 5 minutes left to go in the game Kawhi Leonard had 0 points on 0-8 shooting in the 4th quarter of a Game 7.

A year ago around this time Kawhi Leonard was dominating the East with his new sidekick Kyle Lowry. No one picked Raptors to win the championship, but with the will power of Raptors roster backing him, Kawhi Leonard was able to shock the world and win another championship.

A few months later he abandoned the Raptors, and signed with Clippers on the condition they also sign Paul George. It was a move that was supposed to guarantee a championship for him. Paul George infamously said there was no way to stop the Clippers with him and Kawhi in the lineup.

Little did Kawhi Leonard known when he was sitting beside Paul George talking about Clippers bright future, that he actually made the biggest mistake of his career abandoning the Raptors after winning a championship with them. Little did Paul George know that on September 15, 2020 Kawhi Leonard’s legacy would destroyed, along with his.

When Kawhi had the 3-1 lead on Nuggets, it looked like another matchup with Lebron was inevitable. The only problem is Clippers built a team to beat the Lakers, and forgot about everyone else. Clippers actually struggled all season against every playoff team besides the Lakers.

In the process of making philosophical mistakes in their strategy for winning a championship, Clippers unknowingly set Kawhi up for failure. Kawhi Leonard wasn’t great enough to overcome those philosophical mistakes.

Now Kawhi Leonard blowing a 3-1 lead against Nuggets will haunt his career forever. Now Kawhi Leonard’s legacy is destroyed. Clippers might really be cursed. The unstoppable Kawhi Leonard with braids is no more.
