Why Did Rajon Rondo Point Finger Gun at Lakers Fan Leading to Ejection During Lakers vs Suns?
Lakers disastrous night against the Phoenix Suns had many interesting storylines. There was a fight between Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard, Chris Paul making history, and Lebron James quitting during the game. However, the moment that stood out most was between Rajon Rondo and a Lakers fan.
Why Did Rajon Rondo Point a Finger Gun at Lakers Fan?
The controversial incident happened during stoppage play after drink was spilled on the court. During that time a Lakers fan said something presumably disrespectful to Rajon Rondo. Although he kept his cool during the exchange, Rajon Rondo pointed a finger gun in the fans’ face multiple times, which led to the Lakers fan slapping Rajon Rondo’s hand away.
Since fans are never supposed to make physical contact with NBA players in any way, the Lakers fan was immediately ejected from the arena. Take a look.
In this first video it appears Rajon Rondo was trying to notify the referee that the fan was saying some out of line stuff to him.
Here you can see the Lakers fan slapping Rajon Rondo’s finger gun out his face, before the ejection.
It still hasn’t been confirmed what that Lakers fan said to Rajon Rondo, but it must of been something real bad. Rajon Rondo usually ignores fans in most cases, but he wasn’t able to in this instance.
Lakers are truly in shambles right now, but it’s only the second game of the season. Depending on if you’re a glass half empty or glass half full type of person then the early chaos could be a good or bad thing.
Will Rajon Rondo pointing finger guns at fans cause him to get fined?
