As she was talking about the state of hip hop for female rappers, Cardi B said there is one female rapper who has been dominating for a long time, and still is. She didn’t say her name, but it’s clear Cardi B was talking about Nicki Minaj.
This has fans shocked because they were once the two biggest enemies in Hip Hop, and even fought each other.
It’s always beautiful to see enemies put their differences aside and acknowledge each other in a positive way. That seems to be what happened when Cardi B paid homage to Nicki Minaj during the Apple Music interview. It may sound crazy, but what happened to Megan Thee Stallion may have caused female rappers to have heightened sense of unity with each other.
If that isn’t the case then Cardi B has just matured a lot as a person, and no longer has a grudge against Nicki Minaj. Who knows maybe the two will make a legendary duet album together one day.
