Did Drake Flop? Social Media Reacts to Drake’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ First Week Album Sales

Did Drake Flop? Drake is widely considered one of the best selling hip-hop artists of all time. Some people felt that anything he releases should do major numbers, even if it was a surprise album with no promotion. However, it seems like times might be changing, because the album sale predictions for his ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ album have some fans a bit confused and worried.

Did Drake’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ Album Flop? Details on Drake’s Surprise Album First Week Sales Numbers

According to HitsDailyDouble Drake’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ Album is expected to sell around 200K first week with the best case scenario being 230K. That’s a fraction of the amount he sold first week with his last album CLB, which did 613K first week, and similar to the numbers his Dark Lane Mixtape did. Essentially Drake’s new album is doing the same numbers as his mixtape, which isn’t a good thing all things considered.

Is this a sign Drake is falling off? Take a look at some reactions to Drake’s ‘Honestly Nevermind’ album flopping based on his first week sales predictions.

Doing around 200K first week isn’t bad by any stretch for most artists, but when you have the star power Drake does things are bit different. There has always been a double standard for artists who reach his height fame.

To his defense even with no promotion, he’s still doing similar first week numbers to Kendrick Lamar’s new album, which people also say was a flop.
