Hashtag #ImReallyBlack is trending worldwide after popular anime artists revealed their race is really black. The Black anime artists had racially ambiguous twitter profiles, which led to many people assuming they weren’t black based on the type of art they posted.
The hashtag “I’m Really Black” was created to reveal the truth, and let the black anime artists truly connect with their fans who didn’t know their racial identity in real life.
The moral of the #ImReallyBlack hashtag goes back to the old saying “never judge a book by its cover”, something most people have been guilty of doing during their lifetimes.
