Kyrie Irving is one of the most passionate players when it comes to issues involving race and Kobe Bryant, so naturally when the two are intertwined he’s bound to voice his opinion. This time Kyrie Irving says change the NBA Logo to Kobe Bryant.
What’s his reason? It’s a bold reason with a lot of merit, he feels “Black kings built the league”.

In most cases people would say Michael Jordan should be the NBA logo, but after what happened to Kobe Bryant it would be the ultimate way to honor his legacy by making him forever the NBA Logo.
In terms of Kyrie Irving’s reason why Kobe should be the NBA logo, sure the first NBA players were white, but that was only due to racism since black players weren’t allowed to play. The NBA elevated to the status it is today after black players came along. It’s well known Michael Jordan changed the landscaped of the NBA and made a failing league become profitable again.
Naturally there will be some people who will disagree with Kyrie Irving’s sentiment, but also a large number people that do agree. It all depends on how you view the history of the NBA.
