Minnesota Timberwolves upcoming season is already off to a bad start. Timberwolves Guard Malik Beasley was arrested on drugs and weapons charges on Saturday. Police allege that Malik Beasley possessed Marijuana, and also had concealed stolen weapons. Police arrested him at his home in Plymouth Minnesota and held him without bail overnight on Saturday.
According to reports he has now been released from Jail, but the investigation is still ongoing.

In the 2019-2020 the 23 year old Malik Beasley averaged 7.9 points on 40% shooting, and a formidable 37% from Three on the season. Timberwolves considered him a part of their future plans, but you have to wonder if this puts things in jeopardy.
The results of the investigation could end up with Malik Beasley serving jail time or being suspended from the NBA for a lengthy amount of time, based on similar situations that have happened to NBA players in the past.
Hopefully this doesn’t derail his career.
