The patient who owned debit card was an 83 year old woman whom had just passed away. Hospital reports say the patients death was officially recorded around 1:55pm, and the hospital worker was seen with dead patient’s debit card around 2:12 pm.
This story gets crazier, but first take look at the picture of the Heartlands hospital nurse using the dead patient’s debit card with no shame.
The incident above happened on January 24, but she actually kept the card with her and tried using again near the end of that month. What she didn’t know is that the card had been cancelled after the first time she used it successfully, and police were waiting for the moment she would try using it again. Police arrested her while she was working, and confirmed she still had the stolen card.
She was sentenced to 5 months in prison for theft and fraud.
